Moreover, you can install mods and custom kernels on your Galaxy S7 to enhance the user experience.
Root Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow
There are several methods available on the internet to root the Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. But in this guide we will talk about the most simple ways to root the Galaxy S7 (Edge). One of the easiest way to root your Galaxy S7 is with a single click method. But there are several other complex methods are also available. Rooting methods listed below are easy and quick.
CF-Auto-Root is an ODIN-based rooting method developed by Chainfire. Chainfire is the maker of famous Superuser access management tool SuperSU and other popular apps. It is one of the most secure and reliable ways to root devices of several OEM’s. CF-Auto-Root comes in bundle with SuperSU, which works great and compatible with most of the root apps out there. Chainfire also continually push the updates of fixes and improvements, so you can rest assured that you are using the up-to-date version of SuperSU.
You can visit the CF-Auto-Root official page to download the appropriate file for your device. There are many variants of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge available in the market.

KingRoot is the most safe and quickest way to root Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge device. If you want to root your Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge using the CF-Auto-Root method, then you will need a PC for that. But in KingRoot you don’t need a PC, it’s single tap method works great on both the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.
What you need to do is download the latest version of KingRoot from this link. Download the APK file of KingRoot into your device storage >> go to phone Settings >> tap on Security and enable “Installation from Unknown Sources”. Browse the location where you have downloaded the APK file of KingRoot, tap on it to install it. Once installed, simply tap on KingRoot icon to launch it. You should see the root button, tap on it to root your device. That’s all.
Note: After completing the above steps, disable it “Installation from Unknown Sources”.
Alternatively, you can use the desktop Windows utility of KingRoot. If the mobile APK version of KingRoot doesn’t work for you, and you are looking for other alternatives, then you should try Kingo Root. It’s same as KingRoot, in Kingo Root you can use your PC as well as the phone. It’s up to you to install the desktop utility (Windows) or just install the app on your phone. In both cases, it’s a one-tap root solution just like CF-Auto-Root and KingRoot.
