Steps To Root European LG G5 H850 and Install TWRP
Step 1. First of all you have to setup ADB and Fastboot on your PC, follow the guide linked above to setup ADB and Fastboot on your PC.
Step 2. Now launch Minimal Fastboot and ADB on your PC.
Step 3. From the downloads section above download the SuperSU2.65.zip file and transfer it to your external SD card. And don’t configure your device external SD as adoptive storage.
Step 4. From the Settings application of your LG G5 turn on the Developer Options. To enable Developer Options go to Settings app >> About Phone >> Software Info, then tap on Build Number 6 to 7 times. You should see a toast notification which says “You are now a Developer”.
Step 5. Now go to Developer Options of your LG G5 and enable the USB Debugging option. Then connect your device to your PC using a stock USB cable.
Step 6. Now push the following command code in the Minimal ADB and Fastboot window to Reboot your device into Bootloader mode:
adb reboot bootloader
Step 6. From the downloads section above download the TWRP Recovery .img file and transfer it to the Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder. Then push the following command code to install TWRP on your LG G5.
fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.0.2-0-h850.img
Step 7. Now boot your device into TWRP Recovery to replace the Android TWRP with a stock recovery. To do this, first unplug the USB cable and remove the battery. Then reinsert the battery again and boot your device into recovery mode:
Press and hold Volume down + Power key at the same time.
When you see the LG logo on the screen, simply release the power button then quickly and press it again. Do not release the volume down button.
Keep pressing the keys until the Factory Reset screen appears. Click through the factory reset screen, clicking Yes.
Step 8. Once you get into the TWRP Recovery, select Install option and browse to the external storage where you have saved the SuperSU zip file. Select the SuperSU zip file and swipe where appropriate to confirm the installation.
Step 9. Reboot your device.
